Mutual funds (MFs) sold shares worth Rs 176.30 crore on Monday, 12 December 2011, compared with outflow of Rs 201.60 crore on Friday, 9 December 2011.

The net outflow of Rs 176.30 crore on 12 December 2011 was a result of gross purchases Rs 458.70 crore and gross sales Rs 635 crore. The BSE Sensex had lost 343.11 points, or 2.12% to settle at 15,870.35 on that day, its lowest closing level since 25 November 2011.

Mutual funds have offloaded shares worth Rs 522.60 crore this month (till 12 December 2011). They had bought shares worth a net Rs 809.80 crore in November 2011.
